Color Guard

Goodney, R.JPG

Hi, I'm Petty Officer 1st class Raesean Goodney and I am the Operations Officer as well as the Color Guard Commander. Color guard falls under the Operations Department its importance is inexplicable. Color guard represents the men and women who have sacrificed their lives in the defense of this country and the American Nation. We do this to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice as well as a demonstration of patriotism.

Color guard practices are held after school through the year. Cadets get the chance to train in the various positions of a color guard team. Once the cadet becomes proficient they have the chance to take a qualification test. If the cadet passes qualification they will then be allowed to preform in Color Guard demonstrations which take place at various time in the year. After completing 3 successful demonstrations, the cadet meets the requirements for the color guard ribbon.
